THE DENTAL IMPLANT IS A TITANIUM SCREW WITH ANATOMICAL FORM THAT IS USED TO REPLACE THE ROOT OF A TOOTH

The endosseous implant must meet physiochemical characteristics of biocompatibility, chemical stability, rigidity and elasticity to favor its integration into the bone and allow situations of functional load such as the buccal prosthesis.

The dental implant has different anatomies, morphologies (smooth, threaded, conical), surgical times (I phase, II phases, trancisional), which by the type of bone, width, length, quantity and quality is the choice of an implant, taking consider the oral rehabilitation of the same. The dental implant has a body, a platform and an apex, each section of the implant has characteristics that benefit the Surgical or Prosthetic application.

The dental implant placed in a bony ridge must have a bone integration with the bone, which will cause a direct structural and functional connection with the living bone, since the surface of the implant will be subjected to a functional load with a crown, or crowns , which is fixed to the implant by screwing it, what we call prosthesis.

Always had sought to replace the lost teeth with something similar to the dental root.
